The Amerex 817S is a heavy-duty aviation bracket designed to securely mount 2.5 lb. and 3 lb. fire extinguishers in aircraft, vehicles, and marine environments. Constructed from high-quality steel with a corrosion-resistant red powder-coated finish, this bracket ensures durability and visibility. The double strap design provides enhanced stability, minimizing movement and vibration during transit. The 817S bracket meets UL salt spray requirements (240 hours at 20% salt solution – ASTM B117) and is U.S. Coast Guard approved when used with specified Amerex extinguishers.

Today, Amerex produces approximately 2.5 million commercial and industrial fire extinguishers annually.
