Products and Technical Assistance
How do I determine which fire extinguisher or suppression-system product I need?
The correct product depends on the fire hazard, equipment or system manufacturer, model, application, capacity, and applicable code requirements. Review the product specifications and manufacturer documentation before ordering. If you are uncertain, contact our technical team with information about your application. Final equipment selection and code compliance should be confirmed by a qualified fire protection professional or your local authority having jurisdiction.
Can you help me identify a replacement part?
Yes. When contacting us, provide the manufacturer, system or extinguisher model, existing part number, serial number when available, and clear photographs of the equipment and label. Dimensions and a description of where the part is used can also help. Our team will review the information and assist with identifying a suitable replacement when possible.
How can I confirm that a part is compatible with my ANSUL, Amerex, Pyro-Chem, or Range Guard system?
Match the manufacturer part number, equipment model, system type, and specifications with the applicable manual or parts book. Do not substitute a component solely because it looks similar. You can use our ANSUL Products and Parts Research and Amerex Products and Parts Research resources, or contact our technical team before ordering.
Can you source products or parts that are not listed on the website?
Often, yes. Contact our sales staff with the manufacturer, part number, description, quantity, and required delivery date. If we do not stock the item, we will use our established network within the safety and fire protection industries to try to locate it or direct you to an appropriate resource.
Where can I find product manuals, schematics, catalogs, and safety data sheets?
Our Resources section includes ANSUL and Amerex catalogs, product research tools, parts books, schematics, product videos, and material safety data sheets. For chemical-agent information, visit our MSDS and SDS page. If the document you need is not available online, call 1-800-498-3473.
Do fire suppression system components require professional installation?
Many fixed fire suppression system components, pressurized cylinders, and regulated fire protection products must be installed or serviced by trained and qualified personnel. Licensing and permit requirements vary by jurisdiction. Always follow the manufacturer instructions and applicable codes, and consult your local authority having jurisdiction before installing or modifying a fire protection system.
