Getz Manufacturing was established in 1971 by Melvin Getz as part of the broader Getz Fire Equipment divisions. In 1990, the manufacturing division was sold to Amerex. However, Getz Fire Equipment re-entered the equipment industry in 2008 by founding Getz Equipment Innovators, with a mission to design and build cutting-edge service and maintenance equipment, along with custom service vehicles.
